This coming season we are so excited to open up the field for our very first PYO days! We are aiming to have 1 weekday, and 1 weekend day, but dates will go up week by week since they're really at the mercy of the weather and how the blooms are doing.

An hour in the patch, snips in hand.
Book a slot, arrive at the farm, and fill a bucket with your very own curated selection of blooms. We'll show you what is ready to harvest and where to cut, and let you enjoy wandering the rows, taking it slow, and revelling in what nature has to offer.
Kids and dogs. For safety reasons, PYO days are for adults and kids 12 & up only. No toddlers or small children running around at any time. Dogs, sorry - keep them at home.

Opening this summer
We're aiming for December — specific dates and times will not be released until the patch tells us it's ready. One weekday and one weekend day each week is what we are aiming for.
How it works
Pick a session and reserve your spot. One bucket per booking, as many pickers as you like however there is an add on cost for them.
Turn up five minutes early. Follow the signs, and park in the paddock.
We'll hand you snips and a bucket and show you what's ready to cut.
Fill it, and we'll wrap the lot for the drive home.
Before you come
Wear shoes you are not precious about. It's a working paddock — often damp, occasionally muddy.
Kids and dogs. For safety reasons, PYO days are for adults and kids 12 & up only. Prams are welcome, child must be strapped in at all times while picking. No toddlers or small children running around at any time. Dogs, sorry — keep them at home.
2 hours
Sun and water. Central Otago in Summer is no joke. Hat, sunscreen, a drink bottle are musts when coming to pick.
Weather. If a session is called off you'll hear from us that morning and can move to another session if available, or we will try and add a session.
Allergies. If you are affected by hayfever, or have allergies to bee stings please ensure you bring with you any medication if needed. Flowers = Bees. Livestock = Hay.

Planning a commercial or business photo shoot on the field? We ask that these be booked outside of PYO days. We hire out the field for private shoots, so just get in touch to check availability and lock in a time. If you'd like a recommendation, we are happy to point you toward a wonderful professional photographer we've worked with.

What’s included?
Choose a mix of the wide range of flowers that are ready in the field for your 30 stems.
PLEASE BRING A BUCKET — 30 stems is more than you'd think, and a bucket makes it much easier to get home. Forgot one? No worries, we have buckets to pick with, and once you are done we'll wrap your stems for you.
Having to travel a distance home with them? That’s okay! We can water-wrap them for you to keep them hydrated.
Optional add-ons
If you would like to buy extra stems on the day (over and above the 30 stems included in your ticket), all extra stems are $2 each and payable before you leave either by cash or bank deposit.
